A delegation of Tomsk small and medium-sized enterprises took part in the Tripartite Trade and Economic Forum in China.

A delegation of Tomsk small and medium-sized enterprises took part in the Tripartite Trade and Economic Forum in China. The exhibition and forum, held in the city of Erlian (the Chinese province of Inner Mongolia), brought together several hundred businessmen from China, Mongolia and Russia, including from several Siberian regions. Products presented by Tomsk entrepreneurs aroused strong interest among foreign business, negotiations with which continued after the end of the forum.

Tomsk citizens presented companies producing ecological products from wild plants, food products, and bio-additives. As part of the forum, which was held in the congress center of Erlian, Tomsk entrepreneurs presented the economic potential of the Tomsk Region, held b2b negotiations with Chinese and Mongolian businessmen who were interested in such eco-products as cedar coffee, fermented fireweed tea, Chaga mushroom teas, rapeseed, vegetable oils (rapeseed, sunflower, soybean), as well as fertilizers, feed additives and veterinary preparations from peat.

For Tomsk business, this was a good opportunity to discuss the features of trilateral cooperation, the development of transport corridors between Russia-Mongolia-China, to get acquainted with another free trade zone located on the border of China and Mongolia.

"Why is this forum interesting for Tomsk business?" explains Ekaterina Govorova, who represented the Tomsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foreign Trade Development Center at the forum. "Erlian is the largest land checkpoint on the Chinese-Mongolian border, there is a free trade border zone aimed at developing business cooperation between China, Mongolia and Russia. The free zone in Erlian gives Russian business access to the western part of China"

Last year, Tomsk citizens participated in a business forum in Erlian, the current visit was the development of contacts made last year.

Let's recall that at the recent Eastern Economic Forum, Vladimir Putin and the President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga signed a series of agreements, thanks to which trilateral cooperation will gain momentum, and the China-Mongolia-Russia trade corridor will be further developed.

The business mission for Tomsk small and medium-sized enterprises in the PRC was organized by the Tomsk CCI together with the CPE of the Business Development Fund with the support of the administration of the Tomsk Region and the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia as part of the national project for the development of small and medium enterprises.
