The business visit of Tomsk businessmen to India has been completed

The visit included the presentations of investment and economic potential of Tomsk Oblast and b2b negotiations at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), Federation of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTAPCCI).

  Tomsk businessmen have visited the cities of Delhi and Hyderabad during the business program of mission.

  The visit included the presentations of investment and economic potential of Tomsk Oblast and b2b negotiations at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), Federation of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTAPCCI).

  The delegation of Tomsk enterprises was headed by Andrey Antonov, Vice-Governor of Tomsk Oblast. Yaroslav Tarasyuk, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in India, took part in all the events too.

  The representatives of 15 Tomsk innovative and manufacturing companies of SMEs, such as “Moye Keramik-Implantate”, “Aqvelite”, “Elecard Devices”, “MANEL”, NPO “NIKOR”, “ElsiT”, “Universal Terminal Systems”, “Novaya Khimiya”, NPP “SibSpecProject”,”Interopt”(TM "33 penguins"),”Company Eskimos”," “Timbergroup”,”Sibirecotrade”,”Ecosibir”,”Sibirsky Znahar”.

  Tomsk businessmen held more than 100 negotiations with Indian businessmen, during which a range of agreements was reached, as well as several cooperative agreements were signed.

  “Aqvelite” Tomsk company signed an agreement with Renovate Biologicals Ptv Ltd. Indian company from Hyderabad, aimed at the promotion of Tomsk innovative medical products to the Indian market, as well as the implementation of joint activities to adapt Tomsk products to the Indian market's demands.

  Tomsk CCI and the Federation of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTAPCCI) signed an agreement of intent for the development of business contacts of regional enterprises.

  During the meeting, Andrey Antonov, Deputy Governor of Tomsk Oblast and Yaroslav Tarassyuk, Trade Representative of the RF in India; Mr. Suresh Prabhu, Minister of Commerce and Industry of India; Nikolay Kudashov, Ambassador of Russia in India; Mr. Narasimhan, Governor of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States, had a chance to discuss the prospects for Russian - Indian cooperation, including small and medium innovative and manufacturing business.

  Moreover, Tomsk businessmen visited Indian companies according to activities profile, including TATA Motors, the largest Indian automobile company; Max Healthcare, one of the largest private medical networks; as well as telecommunication and television companies.

  The visit of Tomsk citizens attracted the lively interest of Indian press and business community. Leading Indian TV channels and the newspapers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states presented materials about the meetings in Delhi and Hyderabad. Russian news agencies also marked the results of Tomsk citizens’ visit to India.

  The business mission of Tomsk business to India was organized by Export Support Center of Tomsk CCI with the support of Department for the Development of Innovation and Business and Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in the Republic of India.
