The delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by Consul General of Uzbekistan in Novosibirsk payed a visit on March 14.
While negotiating, the representatives of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Tomsk CCI discussed the examples of successful cooperation between the enterprises of our countries, as well as promising areas for the development of business cooperation.
Aleksandr Belyaev, Director of Center for Foreign Economic Activity Development and Eduard Belyaev, Advisor to President of TCCI told about business missions and expert events held by Tomsk CCI, both within the framework of Export Support Center in cooperation with CCI of the Republic of Uzbekistan and within the expert community of our countries.
In addition to this, the plans for running businesses events in Tomsk and Uzbekistan have been announced during the meeting.
Uzbekistan is one of the main trade partners for Tomsk Oblast. Trade turnover between our region and the Central Asian republic in 2018 amounted to 86.5 mln. US dollars, about 84 million whereof accrued to export. Wood products, machinery and equipment, food products are main commodities, delivered to Uzbekistan from Tomsk Oblast. Tomsk CCI within the framework of Export Support Center, supported by Tomsk Oblast Administration and the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, organized 5 business missions of SMEs to Uzbekistan. As a result, more than 10 foreign trade contracts were concluded.
