November 30 - December 1, 2017 in Rostov on Don will be held V International Conference "Foreign Economic Activity as a Factor of Effective Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in the Subjects of the Russian Federation".
The sanctions applied by various countries to Russia led, on the one hand, to restrictions on activities in many markets, but, on the other hand, they opened up new opportunities and directions for foreign economic activity, and also expanded the opportunities for opening and developing industries for Russian business on the domestic market.
As a result, many small and medium-sized enterprises, including innovative and high-tech, began to consider new markets (the Asia-Pacific region, Latin America, etc.) as a serious strategic alternative to development. This is facilitated by the program of state support of small and medium business in the field of foreign economic activity: serious practical work was done to expand the potential of economic cooperation of Russian enterprises, improve mechanisms in the sphere of state regulation of foreign trade activities, reduce administrative barriers to exports, form the infrastructure for support and development of Russian export companies for federal and regional levels.
Nevertheless, at the moment, the activities aimed at the development of exports of small and medium-sized enterprises in Russia require an active build-up of export potential at the level of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, strengthening coordination of all entities interested in export development and stimulating the export activities of enterprises with the maximum use of those tools and opportunities that are provided specialized development institutions and infrastructure organizations.
In this regard, among the main themes of the Conference, it is possible to single out for discussion issues related to stimulating and involving in export activities those small and medium-sized enterprises that have sufficient potential and competitive products, the implementation of the first steps to enter international markets, the expansion of access to long-term financing for beginning and operating exporters, the positioning of Russian products in general in global markets, the growing role of institutions organizations.
Among the participants of the conference are competitive small and medium enterprises of Russia; federal and regional bodies of executive power, local self-government bodies; Leading development institutions and specialized organizations of regional infrastructure (Centers for Coordination of Support for Export-oriented Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Cluster Development Centers, Regional Partners of the Enterprise Europe Network Consortium - Russia, etc.); public organizations and associations of entrepreneurs; Representatives of embassies and trade missions of foreign countries in the Russian Federation, as well as various international organizations and structures operating in Russia in the field of support and development of small and medium-sized businesses; Foreign experts and entrepreneurs who have proposals for business cooperation or ready-made investment projects and are interested in finding potential partners for their joint implementation; large Russian and international companies interested in developing cooperation with small and medium-sized businesses; financial institutions and organizations ready to invest in small and medium-sized enterprises in Russia.
As a result of the Conference, practical recommendations will be developed to improve the competitiveness of small and medium-sized businesses, develop effective support tools and create an enabling environment for the successful operation of small and medium-sized enterprises in interregional and international markets.
In addition, within the framework of the Conference, it is planned to organize and hold an investment session where small and medium-sized enterprises will be able to present their projects for attracting financing, as well as exchanging contacts to find potential business partners.
