New prospects of cooperation of Tomsk and Chinese businesses

  2017 Tianjin and BRICS Cross-border Investment and Trade Conference is a big trade and investment conference. This year it has gathered delegations from 21 countries. At the invitation of the Bank of China two regional delegations from Russia participated in the conference – Tomsk delegation (13 members) and delegation of Primorsk territory. Tomsk delegation, represented by companies «Interopt» (trademark «33 pingvina»), «Eskimos», «Mezheninovskaya ptitsefabrika», «Timbergrupp», «Sibmedinstrument», «Zennex», «Liga sporta», «Oiltim», «Gazinformplast» and others, appeared to be the most numerous foreign delegation at this forum.

  The importance of the forum is underlined by participation of chairman of Bank of China, Mayor of Tianjin, public officers from Russia, India, Brazil, South Africa, African countries, as well as business delegations from France, Italy, Germany, Poland, Australia, India, Brazil, South Africa, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and other Asian countries.   

  On the first day of forum Tomsk entrepreneurs held more than 40 negotiations and meetings, during which they established perspective connections and reached agreements, that resulted in 3 deals with Chinese companies. Also Tomsk products were presented to representatives of economic department of Russian embassy in China. There were fruitful meetings with delegation of major Mongolia enterprises, representatives of which expressed high expectations of planned visit of Tomsk companies to Ulaanbaatar on June 13-18, 2017.

  Business program will continue in Shenyang by participation of Tomsk companies in trade and investment fair, organized by Bank of China and government of Liaoning province.
