Tomsk CCI held business meetings with representatives of the pharmaceutical enterprises of Kazakhstan

In the framework of the activities of the Regional Export Support Center, a delegation of enterprises of the pharmaceutical cluster of Shymkent city (the Republic of Kazakhstan) visited Tomsk CCI.

  This visit was a direct result of the last year visit of Tomsk businessmen to our southern neighbor: in 2015 Tomsk CCI organized a trip of Tomsk companies from different business spheres to Kazakhstan. As a result, our eastern partners have decided to explore the potential of Tomsk region, primarily in pharmaceutics and medical equipment.

  “Representatives of five significant Kazakh companies, a national pharmacy chain and the Association of Pharmaceutical Cluster visited Tomsk. The main activity field of these companies is the production of medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, dietary supplements,” – said Head of the Tomsk CCI Centre for Subcontracting Sergey Bogomolov.

  According to representatives of Kazakh delegation, the main purpose of the visit was to receive useful and detailed information about the potential of Tomsk medical and pharmaceutical companies and to establish close cooperation.

  Tomsk CCI endeavored to organize the business program in such a way that the guests received the fullest insight into Tomsk leading scientific schools, advanced medical technologies, our instrument-making industry and pharmaceuticals production.

  “We prepared a very busy program for Kazakh businessmen”, – said Sergey Bogomolov. “Over two days, on September 27 and 28, the delegation visited several Tomsk enterprises, there were organized a presentation and a tour over the special economic zone, meetings and negotiations with Tomsk medical companies.”

  On September 28, Kazakh delegation took part in the contact exchange with Tomsk companies. The event attracted 22 Tomsk organizations, namely manufacturers and researchers in the field of pharmaceuticals and medicines. The Kazakh side obtained a lot of information about achievements of Tomsk medical science, including the information about the development of the unique medicines and technologies.

  Kazakhstan businessmen were very impressed by the visit to Tomsk Medical Technology Transfer Center of the Siberian State Medical University. They expressed great interest in preclinical and clinical tests of their products in the Tomsk Center.

  This event is a part of the systematic efforts being made by Tomsk CCI for the promotion of our companies to the markets of neighboring states.
