Tomsk entrepreneurs are holding meetings in Danang

  On August 25, 2016 in the framework of the business mission of Tomsk small and medium-sized enterprises to Vietnam, Tomsk residents held meetings at the Song Thu Shipyard in Danang City and also gave a presentation of the economic potential of Tomsk region in the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Danang.

  The Song Thu Shipyard is one of the leaders in the production and repair of ships in Asia. It produces about 500 ships per year, 80% are exported to other countries, including Morocco, Qatar and Gabon. Members of Tomsk delegation met with representatives of this company, namely with Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. Ha Son Hai, the Head of Marketing Department, the Head of Procurement and Supply Department and the Chief Technical Officer of the company. Tomsk entrepreneurs presented their products, got acquainted with demands of this Vietnamese enterprise and also visited its’ production facilities, where they got to know the ships manufacturing process.

  Representative of Tomsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry Alexander Gumilevsky noted:

  «Directors of the Vietnamese company, that has a good reputation in many countries, welcomed the visit of Tomsk residents in Danang - the center of the Vietnamese shipbuilding industry and an important logistics hub of Vietnam. Offers of Tomsk entrepreneurs aroused interest of the host country; the Vietnamese colleagues are ready to develop partnership with the Tomsk Shipping Company, as well as to cooperate with Mikran company regarding its’ solutions for river and sea vessels.

  «We were pleased to know that Russian businessmen are interested in cooperation with enterprises not only in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, but also in Danang. We see the high level of Tomsk solutions, as well as good prospects for cooperation. We plan to visit Russia and Tomsk in the near future for a more detailed study of possibilities of your companies», said Mr. Ha Son Hai, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Song Thu Shipyard in Danang City.

  In the afternoon members of Tomsk business delegation held meetings and presentations in the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Danang, where they presented the economic, scientific and educational potential of the Tomsk region and held b2b talks with representatives of Vietnamese business.

  On August 26, the business program will continue with a meeting at corporation Interflour Group, which is one of the largest Asian flour companies uniting several flour companies in Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Turkey. The head office of Interflour Group in Singapore coordinates the grain procurement and logistics worldwide. In addition, the company has a cargo terminal in Vung Tau city (Vietnam) for receiving grain from around the world. Meetings with potential consumers of Tomsk telecom products are also planned in the framework of the business mission.

  The business mission of Tomsk small and medium-sized enterprises is organized by the Regional Center for Export Support of Tomsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the support of the Tomsk Regional Small and Medium Enterprise Development Fund, the Regional Department of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
