Tomsk CCI organized a short-term educational program named «Improving the competitiveness of export-oriented subjects of SMEs

From 8th to 10th June Tomsk CCI under the auspices of Regional Development Fund of Small and Medium Enterprises and Tomsk Region Administration organized a short educational program “Improving the competitiveness of export-oriented subjects of SMEs” for directors, experts and foreign economic activity managers of small and medium enterprises in Tomsk region.

  From 8th to 10th June Tomsk CCI under the auspices of Regional Development Fund of Small and Medium Enterprises and Tomsk Region Administration organized a short educational program “Improving the competitiveness of export-oriented subjects of SMEs” for directors, experts and foreign economic activity managers of small and medium enterprises in Tomsk region.

  In three days representatives of Tomsk enterprises, namely OOO “Region”, OOO “Science, Technology, Medicine”, OOO “Biolit”, OOO “NPP “Tomanalit”, OOO “SibBioProduct”, OOO “Gold of Siberia” and others, got acquainted with issues of state support for export-oriented enterprises, special aspects of global marketing and its role in promotion of goods to foreign markets, participating in international exhibitions, marketing and communication policy on the foreign market, communication techniques for business talks with foreign partners, financial management, mechanisms of intellectual property rights protection.

  Also, features of the implementation of export contracts, taxation issues, currency exchange control of export transactions and customs clearance for export cargoes were considered.

  A Guest lecturer was Travinsky Petr Sergeevich, candidate of economic sciences, the leading Russian expert practitioner in the field of foreign economic activity and logistics with 30 years of experience, RANERA lecturer, member of the working group of the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, Expert of the Committee on Economic Policy and Entrepreneurship of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, author of a number of books on foreign economic activity, author and host of more than 20 authorial programs on various aspects of foreign economic activity.

  Among P.S. At the workshop we discussed topical issues of promoting products in foreign markets, organization of foreign economic activity in the company, customs regulation and financial support of foreign economic activity, registration order of the most important documents (contracts, transaction passports, invoices, CMR, customs freight declarations, certificates), procedure for the formation of the customs valuation procedure. Petr Travinsky provided an example of how to fill the customs declaration with the use of specialized software. Analyzing participants’ cases, lector showed how the ignorance of the basics of foreign economic activity by contracts concluding may lead to the destruction of the company's own brand. Based on his personal experience he suggested options how to avoid such problems. The workshop was useful for professionals of all levels, because all raised questions were studied both theoretically and practically”, said Alla Isaenko, director of OOO “Region”.

  The short-term educational program was organized within the framework of regional business development program and measures conducted by Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation in order to support small and medium-sized enterprises.
