NIOST LLC executives took part in meeting with Norwegian delegation

The Norwegian delegation has been working in Tomsk for two days. During the visit foreign guests went to the Tomsk Administration, Tomsk universities and Special economic zone of technical innovation type (SEZ Tomsk JSC).

The meeting was visited by several Tomsk companies that have joint projects with Norway, including the Research Center of Sibur Holding PJSC, i.e. NIOST LLC, the resident of SEZ Tomsk since 2006.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Norway in Russia Leidulv Namtvedt, the Trade Adviser of the Embassy and Director of ​​the company Innovation Norway in Russia Frode Mo and representatives of Norwegian universities attended this meeting.

The main purpose of the Norwegian delegation in Tomsk was to become acquainted with the possibilities and projects of Tomsk universities and to establish international cooperation in the field of education. The Norwegian delegation was invited to SEZ Tomsk in order to expand contacts with residents of the SEZ.

At the meeting with the Ambassador the CEO of NIOST LLC Yuri Kazakov told about the work of R&D-Center of Sibur Holding PJSC and its main activities, including cooperation with Norwegian company Norner AS in creation of the Additives Certification Center (ACC) in 2014. The main objective of this Center is selection of the most available and high-quality additives for company enterprises. Due to its activity Sibur Holding PJSC has saved several dozens of million rubles on the purchase of additives in 2015.

"As long as Sibur Holding PJSC is one of the largest polyolefin producers in Russia, NIOST LLC is regularly visited by representatives of internationally renowned companies with presentations of their additives, because to be purchased by Sibur Holding PJSC they have to be approved by our Center. I want to note that the whole concept and methodology of this Center was developed with the participation of Norner AS, our long-term partner with whom Sibur Holding PJSC plans to implement other projects as well", said Yuri Kazakov.

During the meeting Leidulv Namtvedt inquired about history of development of Sibur Holding PJSC's relationships with Norner AS and about other joint projects of the SEZ residents with Norwegian companies, and also expressed hope that cooperation between Tomsk and Norway will successfully develop both in the field of education and in implementing various business projects.
