Tomsk-Belarus: business cooperation and interest in Tomsk universities

Tomsk entrepreneurs and Siberian State Medical University concluded several cooperation agreements during the business mission of Tomsk small and medium-sized enterprises to the Republic of Belarus.

  This business mission was organized by Tomsk CCI in cooperation with the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in Belarus in the framework of the regional program of business development and activities of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.

  According to Sergei Bogomolov, the representative of Tomsk CCI, the interest in proposals of the Tomsk delegation was shown in the course of the B2B meeting which took place in the Minsk office of Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. During the B2B meeting representatives of Belarusian enterprises and organizations proposed Tomsk companies and Siberian State Medical University to conclude agreements for the supply of products to the Belorussian market and for implementation of joint educational programs in the field of medicine and public health service.

  Following the results of the B2B meeting, Alexander Fedorchuk, the president of the Minsk office of Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, noted that "Today we saw a keen interest in products and educational services of Tomsk organizations. I suppose that as a result of this B2B meeting several more agreements will be signed in the near future".

  Thus, representatives of Fiztech-Energo CJSC have agreed on the supply of equipment to Minsk Tractor Works, while Arctic Training Medical has signed an agreement with Minsk State Medical College on the implementation of programs for the medical staff; Brest entrepreneurs, who arrived in Minsk by invitation of the Russian trade representative for meetings with the Tomsk delegation, expressed interest in bio ice cream produced by Ferment Ltd. ATK LLC has also reached a cooperation agreement with Belarusian businessmen.

  Belarusian participants have shown a keen interest in proposals of Siberian State Medical University represented by its rector Olga Kobyakova in this business trip. During the meetings at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus Siberian State Medical University and Belarusian institutions of secondary and higher medical education signed several agreements aimed at the implementation of joint educational and research projects.

  "Belarusian colleagues expressed great interest in distance and simulation technologies of medical education which are successfully implemented in Siberian State Medical University. Representatives of Belarusian educational institutions are going to arrive in Tomsk to adopt this experience this year", said Olga Kobyakova.

  "The interest in cooperation with Russian regions in Belarus is very high, which was proved by the meetings of Tomsk entrepreneurs and Siberian State Medical University with ministries, enterprises and universities once again. I see a lot of new opportunities for expanding cooperation between Tomsk and Belarusian entrepreneurs and educational institutions", said Konstantin Artyushin, the Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Belarus.
