Experience of Tomsk CCI to overcome shortage of engineers in the industrial enterprises was represented at the VII Congress of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation

The Congress of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation took place at the World Trade Center, 1st of March 2016. Congress representatives summarized CCI's work undertaken after VI Congress (4 March 2011), discussed key lines of CCI's activities up to 2020, elected governing organs of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.
Representatives of Administration of the President of the Russian Federation, Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, executive power, non-governmental organizations, 512 delegates of regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry, commercial organizations, associations and other communities of entrepreneurs – members of the Chambers took part in the Congress. Tomsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry was represented by Vice-President of Tomsk CCI Yulia Bolshanina, Director of Foreign Economic Activity Department of Tomsk CCI Alexandr Beliaev, General director of Elcomplus Ltd Evgeny Teplyakov and General director of the Corporation of the Tomsk region development Stanislav Yaschuk.
The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin took part in the plenary session of the Congress. In his speech he praised the CCI work on entrepreneurial development in the country and stressed the need to consolidate efforts of business associations and the state in the work of economic development.
The President of the Russian Federation was reported about the best experience of regional chambers on business support that was considered at the discussion platforms of the Congress. Separate matter of the discussion platform “Chambers of Commerce and Industry, business associations: cooperation potential, best practices” was the need to overcome shortage of engineers in the industrial enterprises. It was noted and approved the experience of Tomsk CCI and Center of international certification of professional engineers acting on the base of the Chamber. Proposals made and approved during the work of discussion platforms will be taken as a basis of priority lines of activity of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation for 2016-2020.
