Visit of Tomsk companies to Baku on 28-30th of April, 2015 aroused much interest in Azerbaijan business community

Work of Tomsk delegation in Baku started from a visit with Iskander Halidov, multi-millionaire, chairman of Azerbaijani-Russian Chamber of Business Cooperation, president of ISR holding company, which offices and branches are operating in Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey and Switzerland. Holding company is engaged in oil-product transportation and trade, production of iodine, auto sales and development and hotel business.

  I.Halidov shared with participants of Tomsk delegation his wealth of experience in business operations in Azerbaijan.

  During the business mission, organized by Tomsk CCI together with Trade representatives of Russian Federation in Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani-Russian Chamber of Business Cooperation with the assistance of Azerbaijan Foundation for Promotion of Export and Investment AZPROMO, Azerbaijani-Russian forum, dedicated to the establishment of a business connections between entrepreneurs of our countries, took place on 28^th of April in congress hall of Central Park Hotel. In the course of the business program Intigam Guseinov, vice-chairman of Azerbaijani-Russian Chamber of Business Cooperation, delivered a welcome speech, Zaur Gardashev, director of the Investment Department, made a report about business climate in Azerbaijan, Dmitriy Nemytkov, leader of Tomsk delegation, did a presentation about investment potential of the Tomsk Region, Halyala Alieva, chief sales officer, delivered a presentation about state-run enterprise activity of Azercosmos.

  Visit of Tomsk companies aroused much interest in Azerbaijan business community. In forum of Baku and Tomsk business, organized by Azerbaijan, participated more than 50 representatives of business and government entities and some of Azerbaijani mass media.

  In presentations of Tomsk delegation and directory of AZPROMO were introduced advanced sectors for mutually beneficial cooperation, opportunities of Tomsk special economic zone (SEZ), industrial park and investment opportunities of business dealing advantages in Azerbaijan Republic. During the exchange of contacts, were held 2b2 meetings of Tomsk and Azerbaijan companies, which hold promise for business partnership development.

  Official reception of the Tomsk delegation in Trade representatives of Russian Federation in Azerbaijan was held in late afternoon. Predominant topic of discussion was promotional support of Tomsk production to Azerbaijan market.

  In the course of the business program was organized a visit to the leading industrial center of Azerbaijan Republic – Sumgait.

  A large industrial cluster – Sumgait technologies park (STP) – unites 12 modern industrial factories: production of cable, electrical products, ventilation systems, polymeric copper, sandwich panels, solar energy collectors and boilers, wagon-building productions, specialized machinery and etc.

  During the visit to STP factories participants of delegation, attended by representatives of conglomerate international economic relations directory, G. Berezhnytskiy and A. Mammadov, got acquainted with special aspects of technological processes of each factory. In addition, there were held presentation of Tomsk companies’ production and discussion of possible variants of cooperation between Azerbaijani and Russian enterprises.

  Participants of the Tomsk delegation also visited ACC gas-concrete plant, which is included into a large construction holding, SYNERGY Group. Main production of the enterprise is building blocks "gobustone", which are widely used on the Azerbaijani housing construction market.

  Production of Tomsk companies, such as ZAO “Elecard Devices”, OOO “NP Svobodnaya Energiya”, OOO “Akvelit” aroused interest of Azerbaijani specialists, who highly estimated potential of Tomsk elaborated projects. Director General of ACC gas-concrete plant, I. Azeluev, showed his interest in analyzer of present state of health of industrial personnel, developed in ZAO “Elecard Devices” together with OOO “TSKM”. The analyzer uses results of iris-scanning for snap analysis of personnel’s state of health.

  There also was an official opening of testing laboratory of Russian-Azerbaijani OOO “CCM Sahhat” enterprise with participation of E. Tlyabichev, trade representative of Russian Federation in Azerbaijan, and I. Guseinov, Vice-president of Azerbaijani-Russian Chamber of Business Cooperation.

  Sergei Antipov, Director General of OOO “TSKM”, cofounder of OOO "ССМ Sahhat": “Currently, the testing laboratory is only one enterprise in Azerbaijan, which has the widest scope of accreditation. This fact allows making assessment of workplaces in any Azerbaijani industrial sector and to make an assessment of hazardous and harmful production factors according to standard regulations and laws of Azerbaijan Republic. ”

  On the last day of business mission they organized a visit to Baku shipbuilding yard, located in the Garadag region of the country’s capital and designed for sea craft construction and repair and execution of the work in ocean engineering sphere.

  Business trip of Tomsk enterprises is a continuation of Russian-Azerbaijani project, which was started in July, 2014 by Tomsk Regional Euro-Info Correspondence Center with the assistance of regional Department of industry and entrepreneurial development, Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and Trade representatives of Russian Federation in Azerbaijan. 

  In 2015 participants of project business events became eleven small and medium Tomsk enterprises in sphere of information and communications technologies, development and production of independent power supplies, new antimicrobial material, professional medical services for industrial enterprises, timber processing and furniture production, production of cosmetic products, probiotic and prebiotic-supplemented bio ice-cream, control and measuring instruments production, manufacturing and spreading of wild herbs.
