Consultant of the Brazilian Presidential Office to take part in INNOVUS
Prof. Marcos Pinotti, the Consultant of the Board of Assistive Technology (Brazilian Presidential Office), director of bioengineering research laboratories in Brazil, will take part in the panel discussion “Innovation clusters: dialogue of corporations, small and medium-sized business” on the second day of the Forum (May 23).
Prof. Marcos Pinotti, the Consultant of the Board of Assistive Technology (Brazilian Presidential Office), director of bioengineering research laboratories in Brazil, will take part in the panel discussion “Innovation clusters: dialogue of corporations, small and medium-sized business” on the second day of the Forum (May 23).
The discussion aims to represent Russian and international experience of collaboration between corporations, small and medium-sized business in clusters. The Russian participants of the discussion will talk about their understanding of the current situation and will offer their solutions for facilitating such cooperation. Foreign experts will share international experience of innovation clusters development in terms of collaboration between corporations and small and medium-sized business. The invited participants will explain which cooperation aspects are most important, which results of partnership has already been achieved and how they can be applied to Russian environment.
Prof. Marcos Pinotti is a leading Brazilian scientist and businessman. Prof. Pinotti is the Consultant of the Board of Assistive Technology in the Brazilian Presidential Office and the associate professor of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais). He was acknowledged by the International Union of Societies for Biomaterials Science and Engineering (IUSBSE) as one of 100 leading world scientists in biomaterials science and engineering in 2012.
Prof. Pinotti coordinates three innovation research laboratories — Laboratory of Bioengineering (LABBIO), Neural Vision Applied Research Laboratory (LAPAN), Advanced Laboratory of Law and Innovation. (ALADIN)—which work in close collaboration with the country’s leading companies.
Prof. Pinotti has been invited to deliver plenary talks to audiences in Brazil, the USA, China, Italy, Scotland, Sweden, Argentina and Uruguay. He was awarded by Sao Paolo state and Brazilian Ministry of Health for his contribution to the development of plastic surgery and biomaterials. Prof. Pinotti is the member of the Eisenhower Fellowship (USA) and the International Union of Societies for Biomaterials Sciences (USA).
