Egypt Got a Taste for Russian Sweets and Sunflower Oil

Demand for Russian-made food products is on the rise in Egypt. After a new “Made in Russia” tasting and demonstration pavilion opened in New Cairo in December of 2021, the client inquiries growth reached 20–25%.
The most frequent buyers of Russian products are major distributors and state authorities of Egypt (B2G segment). Sunflower oil, flour, groats, and confectionery products, including waffles and chocolate, are of the most interest to these buyers.
Over 38 exporter companies are displaying their products in the new Russian agricultural products tasting and demonstration pavilion in New Cairo.
In four months the tasting pavilion has been in operation in Egypt, our exporters lined up contracts for at least $60 million, including a flour and oil supply contract signed with the Egyptian government agencies.
