The Tomsk company Unigine made real-time strategy game Oil Rush free for Android users on Google Play and on PC users on Steam game service, the company's representative Ekaterina Puchkova told RIA Tomsk.

According to the interlocutor of the agency, Oil Rush is a real-time, "post-apocalyptic" strategy game in the "dieselpunk" style. According to the story, a nuclear conflict triggered a melting of glaciers, which led to the flooding of the world.

"The decision to distribute the game for free is made to celebrate its 10th anniversary. The game is currently available for free on Google Play and Steam," Puchkova said.

According to her, the company is now primarily engaged in the development of its own engine, UNIGINE. Other developers are creating their own games based on it. Tomsk arcade Sumoman was made on the basis of the engine, a large multiplayer online game where events take place in space - Dual Universe - is in beta version.

She specified that the UNIGINE engine is mainly used to create simulations and virtual simulators for aviation, shipping and automotive industries. Game development based on the engine is on a smaller scale, but the company plans to develop this area in the near future.

"We are currently back to game development and are working on a larger game that will be released on PC and consoles," the agency's interlocutor said, without disclosing other details of the project.
