The Estonian ethnocultural complex Jani Farmstead (in the Art Cluster category) and Stepanovskaya Cheese Caramel (Gastronomy) passed through the preliminary selection of the competition "Top 1000 Local Cultural and Travel Brands of Russia" within the framework of the all-Russian project "Living Heritage".

Currently, an expert panel is conducting a final selection of Russian attractions (settlements, cultural and natural sites, images, traditions, crafts, events, clusters, etc.) to be included in the national map of local cultural brands in Russia. The winners will be selected taking into account the popular vote, which is open on the official website of the project until April 30.

The short-list (Top-500) already includes five Tomsk local cultural brands: "Wooden architecture of Tomsk" (category "Cultural constructions and complexes"), "Vasyugan swamps" ("Natural objects and phenomena"), "The immortal regiment" ("Events and dates”), "Nikolay Kamov" (“Geniuses of the Place”) and “Tomsk Wild Crops”(“Gastronomic Brands”).

Top-1000 brands should become points of attraction for tourists and investors on a national and global scale. This will help increase the awareness of the brands themselves, as well as the cultural and economic development of the territories.

The competition is held on the interactive platform Живоенаследие.рф with the support of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, the Russian Geographical Society, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, and the National Union of the Hospitality Industry. Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, Federal Tourism Agency, Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, All-Russian Society for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments.
